Temple Grandin paints a picture of a young woman's perseverance and determination while struggling with the isolating challenges of autism at a time when it was still quite unknown.

The film chronicles Temple’s early diagnosis: her turbulent growth and development during her school years; the enduring support she received from her mother, aunt and her science teacher and her emergence as a woman with an inate sensitivity and understanding of animal behaviour.

His pregnant mother has to take things easy and his father puts him in charge of his autistic brother Charlie. Thomas, with the help of his girlfriend Jackie faces his biggest challenge yet. Charlie’s unusual antics take Thomas on an emotional journey that causes his pent up frustrations about his brother to pour out – in a story that is funny, confronting and ultimately heart-warming. Writer and Director Elissa Down has two younger brothers with autism, and the film is semi-autobiographical. Starring – Rhys Wakefield, Toni Collette, Erik Thomson & Luke Ford.
