Research shows that EQ (emotional intelligence) is more important to be successful that IQ – two people with the same qualifications and experience may be employable for a job role; it is their EQ that will determine if they can effectively work with their colleagues and achieve outcomes. For example, picture visiting a brilliant doctor – they might be a fantastic surgeon, but if their ‘bedside manner’ is poor and they lack rapport, that might make you want to seek a different doctor who can make you feel at ease about your procedure.
Building EQ is a lifelong journey – we all have more to learn! This course is open to any adult looking to work on these skills – whether that is to improve employability, become a more effective leader, or simply have better personal relationships.
