In school environments, some students experience everyday interactions, changes in routine, expectations, or perceived misunderstandings far more intensely than others. These responses may present as withdrawal, emotional escalation, avoidance, or disengagement, and are often misinterpreted as behavioural or motivational issues.
This education-focused professional development webinar explores why everyday interactions in school can overwhelm some students. Drawing on nervous-system and information-processing perspectives, the session supports educators to better understand how meaning is perceived and internalised during daily classroom experiences.
Rather than focusing on behaviour management or discipline, this session examines how communication styles, classroom environments, routines, and relational moments can influence student regulation, engagement, and learning.
Topics covered:
This school-focused webinar will explore:

Why everyday interactions in school can lead to intense emotional experiences for some students
