South West Emergency Care for Children (SWECC)

Operated as a program of MacKillop Family Serviecs, SWECC provides in-home care and practical support for children (from birth to 11 years of age) when the family may be experiencing a crisis and one of the primary care givers needs a helping hand. Crises include family sickness including hospitalisation, bereavement, or situations that place the family under stress. This service is available to families in Bunbury and in the Shires of Capel, Dardanup, Harvey, Collie, Busselton and Donnybrook/Balingup.

Waalitj Foundations Parent Pathways

A voluntary support program designed for, parents and carers that are first nations in the Southwest region. We work with parents and carers of children under 6 who are receiving a parenting or carer payment and are currently not in employment.

Through one-on-one mentor support, the program helps participants set and achieve personal goals such as accessing further study, obtaining a driver’s license, building social connections, arranging childcare, engagement support vouchers, assisting with purchase of laptops for study goals and more. We also offer financial assistance and referrals to additional services that may support their journey.

Wanslea

Wanslea provides a whole range of services including family support, out of home care, community capacity building & child care. Available therapists include: Speech Pathologist, Psychologist, Teacher, Occupational Therapist and Social Worker.
